About Us

Dorothy DyckOffice Manager / Customer Service Representative

In the Abbotsford community, 'Dorothy Dyck' has become somewhat of a well-recognized name. The humble and gracious co-owner of Abbotsford Printing Inc. would blush at such a statement, but the former Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce President and Executive Director of the Abbotsford Downtown Business Association has nothing but love for her hometown, and rolls up her shirtsleeves to help in any way that she can, giving back to the community that has shown Abbotsford Printing Inc. so much loyalty over the years.

Abbotsford Printing Inc. takes on many gratis promotional printing projects annually, both large and small – recognizing the power of the printed word to raise awareness and funds for special causes and non-profit groups. Often, it is Dorothy Dyck that liaises with these groups, and volunteers on special event committees and task forces throughout the community. She is the past Chair of the Crystal Gala Foundation (a fundraiser for breast cancer) and is a board member of the Abbotsford Police Board and the BC Police Board.

One of the smiling faces that greets Abbotsford Printing Inc. customers on the front line daily, Dorothy (like all of the staff) believes in the importance of customer service and relationship-building. She asserts that without knowing her clients and their companies, she cannot understand their business needs, and direct them in the most effective and economic way. Abbotsford Printing Inc.'s goal is to create the most effective printed item for their clients.

Dorothy, a graduate of MEI, is proud to say that every job that she ever had involved design and colour: from working in a fabric store, and a photo studio, to printing. She was also an award-winning paper tole instructor, and is delighted to be able to continue to apply her passion for the visual in her role at Abbotsford Printing Inc.

When the mother of three isn’t working at her business, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her family, Dorothy enjoys traveling and reading. This unending source of vitality and energy is excited with the variety in her life, and the opportunities for helping people that continually come her way.

Amanda MastersExecutive Assistant/Customer Service Representative

I came to Canada two years ago with my husband and family, and, after we settled, I felt it was time for me to pursue my career once more. I’ve had an avid interest and a passion for the print industry for many years, and so it seemed the natural choice. My background is in design and project management for the security industry, however, in 2002, I made a career move into account management for a commercial print company, a job that I really enjoyed. In 2003 I left the company to have my third and final child; it was then that we decided to immigrate to Canada and start a new life.

My goal is to provide clients with solutions to increase the profitability of their companies, and to manage their business needs, whether It involves managing projects, advising on colour schemes or simply re-ordering their company stationery.  Abbotsford Printing for me is a company I’m proud to be a part of; working together as a team to provide great customer care, and to have our customers come back time and time again is true job satisfaction.

She appreciates any opportunity where she can offer her skills to help our clients achieve their vision, and that they receive the best printing service we can provide.
